We are 100% privately funded, with no state or federal tax dollars received. Our support comes from a diverse group of individuals, businesses, foundations, community organizations and McDonald’s owner-operators, as well as fundraising events and other sources. Individual donors are our largest source of support, providing approximately 45% of our revenue. This broad base of support helps us provide services to families at no cost.
McDonald’s is the founding and forever partner of Ronald McDonald House. Local McDonald’s owner-operators support our organization in many ways, but over 75% of our funding comes from a much broader group of donors, businesses, foundations, volunteers and community partners who make our work possible.
We consider both the data and the experiences that inform it. We track families served, nights of lodging, meals and snacks provided, volunteer support and other measures that help us understand our reach and impact. Just as important is what this support means for families: a place to stay close to their child, a meal when they don’t have time to cook, a shower and a moment to rest, or a caring person nearby when they need it most.
