Ways to Give
Help us feed families after a long day
After a long day at the hospital, dinner is offered to everyone using the Ronald McDonald House Iowa City and our two Family Rooms.
Sponsored meals can be served at all three of our locations – Ronald McDonald House Iowa City, Ronald McDonald House Family Room University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital, and Ronald McDonald House® Family Room at UnityPoint Health – St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids. Your sponsorship of $250 covers a delicious catered dinner at one location for one evening.

Frequently asked questions about sponsoring a meal
Yes. Sponsorships are often given in someone’s name — a child’s birthday, a memorial, an anniversary. Tell us the name and the occasion when you sponsor; we can share that with staff and families partaking in that evening’s meal if you desire, or you can sponsor a meal anonymously.
Sponsoring pays for the food and we handle the rest. Preparing a meal means your volunteer group comes to the kitchen and cooks it. If you would rather be in the kitchen, start with Prepare a Meal.
Yes, recurring sponsorship is a common form of corporate support. Reach out to our Kitchen Coordinator at kitchen@ronaldmcdonaldhouseic.org to set up your schedule.
Right here. Every Ronald McDonald House chapter is an independently operated 501(c)(3), and this one supports the programs in Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois. A sponsorship given here buys food for the families using all three of our locations.
